SAMAVESHI SHEHER is Indo Global Social Service Society-IGSSS supported project for Empowering for Inclusive Cities (Urban Poverty) under the urban poverty intervention with domestic workers, daily wagers labours, street vendors, rag pickers, and unorganized workers.
The programme is weaved around the philosophy that city must promote for all its residents, equal access to housing facilities, civic amenities, services and opportunities for leading a life of dignity. The key focus on this project is on residential vulnerability, though emphasis will also remain on addressing social and occupational vulnerabilities. Due to lack of awareness and illiteracy slum dwellers are unable to approach for their rights. Also advocacy with respected government department for their rights

MAJOR PROGRAMS & ACTIVITIES:
●Regular collective meeting with SHGs and basti committee
●Capacity Building Training with Target Audience
●Awareness and sensitization through NukkadNatak and Identity Campaign in target areas
●Regular Interface and Networking Meeting with respected government departments, social welfare departments for implementing government schemes in target areas
●Awareness camp conducted in Target Areas
● Vocational Training for Beneficiaries for income generating
● Regular Interface meeting with Banks for linking SHGs and to open account of beneficiaries
●Each intervention slum is having their own basti community
●Slum dwellers became sensitized seems desire to learn among them regard legal rights.
●Formation of 15 Shelf Help Groups (SHGs). Regular meeting is held by these groups with regard to savings, out of them 8 SHGs linked with bank and benefitted from government schemes (NULM-National Urban Livelihood Mission)
●314 HH received Ration Card by intervention of ASES
●242 Individuals having their own Identity Card (VOTER ID, PAN CARD, UID, BIRTH CERTIFICATE etc)
●33 HH received amount for constructing individual family toilet under “Swachh Bharat Mission”
●Active participation by residents for availing benefits of social security schemes. Now slums of Burmamines are having their own Community Toilet and Community Hall.
